The 3 days fly in gorilla habituation experience is an adventurous safari is designed for travelers who are not used to long distance journeys. The safari tour will take you to the misty forests of Bwindi impenetrable national park in southwestern part of Uganda. Bwindi impenetrable national park is the only gorilla destination that offers the exciting gorilla habituation experience which is only carried out in Rushaga sector. During the 3 days fly in gorilla habituation experience, travelers will get an opportunity to spend four hours with the endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitat.

Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Fly to Kisoro airstrip in Bwindi impenetrable national park

Depending on your arrival time at Entebbe airport on the first day of the 3 days fly in gorilla habituation experience, you will connect your domestic flight to Kisoro airstrip. Upon arrival at the airstrip, you will be picked by our driver guide who will brief you about the safari and then transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park. The journey takes about 2 to 3 hours and upon arrival, you will check into the lodge for lunch and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla habituation experience in Bwindi impenetrable national park

You will have an early breakfast on the second day of the 3 days fly in gorilla habituation experience, carry packed lunch and then meet up with your driver guide to transfer to the park headquarters for a gorilla habituation briefing. After the briefing, you will be allocated park rangers, experienced park guide and start trekking in the jungle which takes a whole day. During trekking, you will be able to view other wildlife species and once the mountain gorillas are found, you will be able to spend four hours with them in their natural habitat which gives you an opportunity to learn and monitor their behaviors, habits, watch them carry out their daily activities, take photos and record videos. After the four hours with the gorillas, you will return to the starting point where you will be given a certificate for participating in gorilla trekking and later return back to the lodge for dinner and overnight as above.

Day 3: Fly back to Entebbe
