Virunga Campsite.

Virunga Campsite is in Kisoro, which is only 7.7 miles (12.5 km) from the Mgahinga Gorilla National Park and 3.2 miles (5.2 km) from the St. Francis Hospital Mutolere. It is also 25 miles (40 km) from the Nkuringo Visitors Centre and 40 km from the Cathedral of Ruhengeri.

Virunga Campsite has a big restaurant with both local and foreign food, a fully stocked bar, showers with both hot and cold water and, of course, safe places to park.

This tiny facility is found at the southern shores of Lake Mutanda and provides accommodation in form of camping facilities and meals to tourists on Uganda safaris. Suites Camp, which is part of Mutanda Eco Community Centre, is close to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, so it has a lot of different places to stay.  This platform stands up from the ground and provides a floor for different tents. The Mutanda Eco Community Centre rents out the tents, which can be used as easy lodging or as a more advanced way to camp, but you will need to bring your own tent for these. The Camps are built on platforms that are raised off the ground to protect them from the ground and rain.

Nshongi Camp.

Nshongi is 7.8kilometres from the centre of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and 340.3kilommetres from Entebbe International Airport or Kampala the capital city. This is a great place to start looking for gorillas. In fact, it’s the only place in Uganda and the whole world where you can look for mountain gorillas. Gorilla Camp is only a few minutes’ walk to the Ugandan Wildlife Service hut, the starting point of the Gorilla tracking. The camp is just a few metres away from the edge of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in southwest Uganda. There are four native bandas at the camp, and it is a great place to connect with nature. If you have to cross countries, you can go to Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, and Rwanda.

Each bed has a mosquito net and views of the mountain. Guests can dine beneath the stars and unwind by the roaring campfire. Three course meals are made and they can prepare lunch boxes for your trekking. There is always hot coffee, tea, and drinks to choose from.
